Virtue is an indispensable foundation of Buddhist practice. They offer guidelines for the intentional development of compassion, concentration, mindfulness, and wisdom. By practicing deeply with the precepts we refine our intentional actions, reflect upon kamma, and nurture harmony in our relationships. Seriously practicing the five precepts can restrain the forces of greed and hatred, and end the causes of suffering.
This online group is intended for experienced meditators who are committed to purifying the mind by cultivating the five training precepts.
There will be opportunities for both teacher led and peer led discussions each month. Participants will be given a variety of reflection themes, and journaling or writing topics to expose the habitual ways we each may indulge harmful patterns, and discover wiser alternatives. The group sessions provide monthly opportunities to meet with a supportive group of meditators.
