Janet Taylor began practicing in the Theravada tradition in 2006. After her first mindfulness retreat she dove into meditation practice and sutta study and has since attended numerous residential retreats, including ten of Shaila’s jhana retreats. Janet is inclined toward investigation. She enjoys discerning phenomena in the context of Buddhist lists such as the 3 characteristics, the 5 aggregates, and so on. She has dedicated longer periods of practice to contemplating the 32 body parts and the 4 elements.
Janet retired from a career as a technical writer and editor and now spends her time making sculpture at her home studio in Grand Junction, Colorado.
