These five courses are structured to support meditators as they establish and deepen concentration both in daily life and in silent meditation practice. The series encourages students to develop the meditative skills that lead to mastering the absorption states of jhana. Each class stands on it’s own, and can be taken in any order, independently of the other courses in the series. Together these courses offer a wise, profound, and comprehensive training in meditative concentration.

Each course includes recorded lectures, reading assignments, sutta study, guided meditations, discussion forums, and optional audio conferences with Shaila Catherine.

Newcomers may join some of these concentration courses. A few of the courses in the series have pre-requisites for attendance to create a classroom community that supports in-depth discussions amongst dedicated practitioners.
